The Faculty of Science, University of Delta, Agbor is one of the eight (8) faculties approved by National Universities Commission (NUC) at inception in November 2021 for the university of Delta. The faculty has seven (7) departments with over one hundred (100) academic staff and more than forty (40) support staff with a mission to produce well motivated and skillful graduates capable of exhibiting appreciable expertise in proffering solutions for the workplace of tomorrow. Teaching and research commenced in the 7 departments for the 2021/2022 academic session in December 2021. Presently the faculty has a total student population of over 1000. Academic activities for the 2022/2023 session are in top gear.
Our projection is that in the nearest future the faculty will be a leading academic Centre as we consider academic-industry partnerships that will generate funds for research and expose our students to the real-life industry job situation.
